Please note that non-Ripken/BR leagues create their own racquet rules (and confusion) and impose fall requirements for certain age groups (mainly U13 and above). In general, these leagues tend to be stricter than Rippen/BR in terms of fall weight on U13+ racquets. But some tournaments go the other way and allow big barrels of 2-3/4″ rackets,” which is clearly illegal even under the old Rippen/BR bat rules.
